Oslo-Gardermoen International Airport Records Triple Digit Growth in Airport Movements

Oslo-Gardermoen International Airport has recorded a +104.52% increase in air traffic movements for last week.

Data from January 22-29, 2022 shows the airport recording 362 movements, which is far better than the figure of 177 for the same period last year. 

For January 15-22, numbers remain pretty similar, with there being a +101.66% increase of 365 movements compared to 181 recorded in the same period in 2021. 

For January 2022 itself, the airport has made positive gains and has increased its average percentage points by around 20%, having started at around an 80%-increase-mark. 

Uptick in Monthly Passenger Numbers Backs This Up...

The numbers provided by AirNav RadarBox correlate with information produced by Norwegian authorities surrounding passenger numbers. 

December 2021 saw the airport handle 2,654,010 passengers, which is 112.9% up from December 2020. 

This figure represents the total passengers on board at departure and arrival. Such a figure is down 33.8% compared to December 2018 but is a work in progress on a pre-pandemic basis. 

For Gardemoen, this is definitely a great step in the right direction, and will be wanting to continue this growth as we progress through 2022.
